Getting Involved at DeLaney Community Farm

DeLaney Community Farm is Denver Urban Gardens' community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in Aurora, Colorado. In addition to a dedicated group of farm shareholders, DeLaney grows food for nonprofit partners organizations, WIC clients, and seasonal markets, and hosts hundreds of volunteers and visitors each year.

Interested in getting involved? Here's how:

  • Join the CSA
DeLaney Farm shareholders are involved in nearly every aspect of the farm's operations, and contribute volunteer hours throughout the growing season. Share pickups are weekly from mid-June until mid-October. 2011 shares are currently sold out. Click here to learn more about becoming a DeLaney Community Farm Shareholder, or to request to join the waitlist.

  • Volunteer at DeLaney
Our staff is small and our mission is big, so we rely on volunteers for much of the day-to-day farm work that keeps DeLaney running. Click here to learn more about volunteering at DeLaney Community Farm.

  • Give Back
Give the gift of fresh food to those in need by supporting the Community Partner Share program. One of the primary objectives of DeLaney is to help challenged populations improve their nutrition and their access to healthy food. Community Partner Shares (CPS) is a program that links DeLaney with low-income households and organizations serving these residents. Click here to learn how to support this program.

  • WIC at DeLaney Community Farm
The mission of WIC is to improve the nutrition and health status of low-income women, infants, and preschool children by providing nutritious foods, nutrition and health education. DeLaney and Tri-County Health Department have partnered for nearly 10 years, allowing WIC clients to participate at DeLaney. WIC participants can provide one hour of work each week at DeLaney in exchange for a half share of freshly harvested produce. Click here to learn more about this program.
