The Globeville garden is a place of magic and unfolding, especially for the young gardeners who come to look for the garden’s toads and admire the only “pumpkin-tree” in the Denver area.

 Why We Love Our Garden:

 Community Events:
The dedicated leaders of the Globeville garden believe in making this garden a place of learning for children of all ages.  They welcome the local community and are happy to share gardening skills and a growing sense of wonder

with neighborhood youth.  In addition to the immediate community, developmentally and emotionally challenged children and youth with the Laradon program come to work in the soil with DUG’s Education Coordinator, Judy Elliot, each summer.   This open and welcoming community is looking for gardeners willing to grow with the Globeville garden.

Just a short bike ride from downtown along the Platte trail, Globeville is happy to welcome city-dwellers who may not have the luxury of open space to garden.  If you chose to join this garden, you will find yourself among fun loving, down to earth and generous gardeners.

There is a current renovation project that will include expanded plots, an entry area, and a community courtyard.  This garden was originally initiated by the Globeville community health clinic and is currently connected with the Stapleton Recreation Center.
