Free Seeds and Transplants: Group Applications
New this year, Denver Urban Gardens is offering group applications, to make the application process simpler for those applying on behalf of an in-need group, rather than an individual or household. Group applicants are eligible for a larger number of seeds and transplants per application.
Eligibility:
The following groups are eligible to apply using the group application:
- Schools, classrooms, or educational organizations
- Human service oriented organizations
- Faith-based organizations
- Community gardens and community garden donation programs

How it Works:
- Beginning on January 2nd, 2012, groups interested in receiving free seeds and transplants can pick up applications from La Alma Recration Center, located at 1325 W 11th Avenue in Denver. Note: group applications are not available at any other distribution center.
- After participants pick up their application, they should return their completed application to La Alma Recration Center by February 1st, 2012. Denver Urban Gardens processes the applications and fills the orders once all applications have been received.
- Beginning in March, seeds will be available for pickup from La Alma Recration Center. Transplants are available for pickup beginning in May. All applicants will be contacted with exact pickup days.
- Applications for the next year’s program become available in the end of December or beginning of January of the following year.
