El Oasis Community Garden
El Oasis is a thriving garden, overflowing
with every type of vegetable you could imagine, including
brussel sprouts, eggplant and beets.
Why We Love Our Garden:
El Oasis changes each year as the gardeners
decide to grow new vegetables, and as
novice gardeners are invited into the
garden. Each year there is a novel variety of squash or tomato
to delight old time gardeners and inspire them to grow
something different. Gardeners in El Oasis enjoy
informal socializing in the garden and opportunities to get to
know their neighbors. On a typical summer Saturday, you will
find all ages in the garden as several neighborhood
grandmothers enjoy gardening with their grandchildren.
