The First Plymouth Community Garden grew out of a desire from a local church and the surrounding community to help people in need in a tangible manner.

 Why We Love Our Garden:

 Community Events:

For a long time, the vacant plot near First Plymouth Community Garden was an eyesore for the church.  Eight years ago, several church members recommended a possible alternative: a community garden.  This solution helped to beautify the property while also engaging church members and community members in a joint project.  Over the years, First Plymouth has run a farmers’ market on the church grounds, raising money for food banks including Metro CareRing, Project Angel Heart, and the Urban Peak.

Although on church grounds, this garden welcomes both church members and neighbors in the surrounding community.  If you are looking for a local place to meet members of your community, raise produce for yourself and also donate to local food banks, this might be a good place for you!
