This small garden offers a spectacular view of downtown and is an intimate setting for meeting neighbors, developing friendships and connecting to the community.

 Why We Love Our Garden:

This intimate garden is overflowing with fruit in the late summer.  In addition to peach, cherry and plum trees, the site also boasts raspberries and gooseberries.  Artwork is scattered throughout the garden including plaster garden animals, a sundial, and an iron spider.  The garden is situated on a hill, helping it warm earlier than most city plots.  Because of its small size, gardeners know each other and have made lasting friendships through participation in community events.

The garden has an upper and lower terrace with a community picnic table area and a grill.   The site is also used by Denver Bookbinding employees as a break area and as a meeting place for community groups.  DUG is extremely grateful to Denver Bookbinding Co. for offering this space when the Umatilla Garden needed to be relocated.
