On the east side of York St, and less than a block from Colfax, this urban community garden provides a place of nurture and care in the center of the city.

Project Light is a diverse and generous community of gardeners.  Each week gardeners set out a basket of produce for anyone who is passing or dropping by for an informal garden tour.  Gardeners are on a first name basis at this site, willing to water if garden neighbors are on vacation, trade extra seeds and share life stories while watering their plots.  Over the past few years, community involvement has grown and nearly every gardener from last season is back for another summer.
