to senior citizens.  This garden takes pride in having a child friendly garden and working hard to build relationships with families of young children.  This garden welcomes children in with a swing, climbing hill, butterfly garden, sunflower house, bean house, herb garden and many child friendly family plots.  This garden has worked directly with Steck Elementary School (adjacent to the garden) children and teachers to bring learning to the outdoor classroom in which we teach gardening skills, nutritious eating, and the importance of being a part of community. Steck garden hosts two annual clean-up days and a picnic, as well as offering a summer gardening program for the children of gardeners.
