The garden at St. Peter and St. Mary’s church is located in the beautiful Baker historic district. Produce from the garden is used to provide meals to the homeless.

 Why We Love Our Garden:

 Community Events:
The garden has rich siol that allows basil, tomatoes, and squash to flourish. There is an easy watering system, weeds are minimal, and everyone parking their cars in the

church lot have an opportunity to see the progress each week.

We have had many salads, vegetable, and squash dishes to serve our homeless population at our Tuesday  night dinners. The Joy of these people eating this fresh produce is awesome.

Individuals such as Daryl come to the church daily where he tends to his own garden plot on the corner and helps with watering other plots. This garden gives the neighborhood life and also gives him a worthwhile purpose. An herb project was also started this year successfully  adding flavor to our soups and stews and to dry for use over the winter.
