The West Washington Park Garden is a pleasure to walk through on a mid-summer evening when the plots are overflowing with tomatoes and cucumbers and the gardeners are out to water, weed, and talk between their garden plots.

 Why We Love Our Garden:

 Community Events:

The West Washington Garden is a popular garden in a convenient location.  Located in a densely populated area between Capitol Hill and Washington Park, the garden provides a welcome patch of open land.  The leadership team for this garden is active and well organized, publishing a garden handbook and sponsoring an online message board.

This garden collaborates with the Art Students League, located directly across the street.  Artists at the League use the garden for inspiration, either as an outdoor classroom or on an individual basis.  In exchange, West Washington Gardeners are able to use the Art Leagues’ facilities.  A popular garden full of skilled gardeners, there is often a waiting list each year.
