Westwood Garden is a calm refuge in the midst of the city.

 Why We Love Our Garden:
This is one of the quietest community gardens in Denver, and
youa lee
oasis of peace and tranquility.  Time passes, but this site stays the same.  It is also one of the most productive sites in Denver.  Gardeners make up for the small size of their plots by using every square inch of earth available to them.  The limited space really overflows with flowers and vegetables.

Westwood Garden is home to a strong community of Hmong immigrants.  They are always happy to share their traditional methods and show visitors plants that can’t be bought in the grocery store: this is the perfect place to learn about vertical planting and try bok choy.  Always good at creating and managing resources, the Hmong have made trellises from twigs and branches, creating a magical garden where community takes shape.  This garden is always in demand and the plots are usually full each summer.
