Atlantis Community Garden

Address
201 South Cherokee
Denver

Neighborhood
Baker

Established
2007

Founded in 2007, the Atlantis Community Garden is maintained by members of Atlantis Community Incorporated, an independent living center and community for adults with disabilities in Denver. Since 1975, Atlantis Community Inc. has provided direct services to people with disabilities, empowering them to integrate themselves into all parts of society while maintaining their autonomy. To learn more about Atlantis Inc., click here.

Located outside the entrance of the community center, the Atlantis garden has 8 raised beds. The beds are specifically designed so that residents who are in wheelchairs can garden from their chair. Birdhouses decorated by Atlantis residents adorn the trellises that flank each plot, adding a colorful aesthetic to the already verdant landscape.
