Cheltenham School Community Garden

Address
1580 Julian Street
Denver

Neighborhood
West Colfax

Established
1996

Cheltenham School Community Garden is a garden focused on building a close-knit, vibrant community of gardeners, as well as building strong relationships with the school and members of the neighborhood around them. The garden features 17 garden plots, including two raised beds. A Cheltenham School Community Garden Leader said that potential gardeners should “expect to join a community, not just a place to garden. A place where they will feel safe and welcome and we can all learn together and help each other.”

The garden is also focused on giving back, dedicating two of their plots to community sharing and providing food for their neighbors. Cheltenham School Community Garden is the perfect place for someone looking to grow food, but also wanting to create community in and around the garden.
