Description

DeLaney Community Garden is one of Aurora’s treasured community gardens. It is located on DeLaney Community Farm, DUG’s community farm in Aurora. Being involved with this community garden offers the unique opportunity of being able to experience two types of urban agriculture: urban farming and community gardening. With several new garden plots, it is a large urban garden in the center of Aurora, Colorado. The community garden is located within the DeLaney Community Farm and offers the unique opportunity for wildlife viewing.

With the help of dedicated garden leaders and participants, the garden brims with productive beds each year. Excess produce is placed a community basket to be donated to passerbys or to a nearby nursing home. There is also a plot used by Goodwill for some of their younger participants to take advantage of the opportunity to learn about urban agriculture.
