Ruby Hill Park Community Garden

Address
W Florida Avenue & S Platte River Dive

Neighborhood
Ruby Hill

Established
2012

DUG’s 100th garden, Ruby Hill Park Community Garden has created a fellowship between gardeners old and new, allowing for seasoned gardeners to share their knowledge to help novice gardeners make the most of every season. In fact, every other Thursday, an experienced gardener makes herself available to answer any question a fellow gardener may have. There is always a lot of learning going on at Ruby Hill Park Community Garden!

The garden itself is in the shape of a circle, to match the sundial motif throughout the rest of the park. Dardano’s Garden Store has sponsored two communal plots, which the garden cares for as a whole. All of the food grown in these beds, as well as any surplus produce from plots, is donated to the Zuni Food Bank. The garden is located near the swimming pool and playground in Ruby Hill Park.

Land Acknowledgement

Denver Urban Gardens and its staff and board honor the land on the unceded territories of the Ute, Cheyanne, and Arapaho peoples.
