The Community Garden at Shorter African Methodist Episcopal Church is a garden where all are welcome to come as they are to a garden focused on bettering the surrounding community through eating well, living well and fellowship with others. This garden is a shared garden with no individual plots, and is managed largely by the church members, but the public is welcome to participate and share in communal summer harvesting. Gardeners share excess produce with the neighborhood, which contributes to the garden’s efforts in building and supporting the community. The garden also welcomes partnerships with local organizations and has worked with a variety of groups in the past, including the Girl Scouts. Come get your hands dirty at The Community Garden at Shorter African Methodist Episcopal Church!
