Garden Leader Trainings
Garden leaders are encouraged to join DUG staff for a training that explains DUG’s expectations of community gardens, highlights resources available to garden leaders and gardeners, and provides tried and true tips for effective garden management.
This training is designed for:
- new community and school garden leaders
- existing garden leaders who want to brush up on the resources that DUG provides
- any garden leaders desiring a better understanding of DUG policies
Each training is held from 5:30-7:00pm. Leaders at school-based community gardens should plan to stay until 7:30pm to cover important material regarding background checks. Classes take place at The Horse Barn, 1031 33rd Street, Denver CO 80205. RSVP required.
The 2019 New Garden Leader Training dates are:
- January 22nd*
- March 14th
- April 9th
- May 7th
- October 15th
*The January class is tailored to new garden leaders and new gardens. We will cover all the general garden leader information as well as tips for building community and setting the stage for a successful, sustainable garden.
