This workshop will give a brief overview of four different preservation techniques: freezing, drying, canning and pickling, including the basic chemical and biological principals behind each technique. The rest of the workshop will be devoted to demonstrating good canning and pickling practices. A handout will be provided with the basic recipes and further reading.
This workshop will take place at DUG Headquarters, located at 1031 33rd Street, slightly north of downtown Denver, on Saturday, October 12th from 10:00am – 12:30pm
