1% for the Planet
The Global Summit, an annual conference organized by 1% for the Planet, is an impactful gathering of hundreds of Environmental Partners and Business Members join together to discuss ways to support the planet, champion one another, and celebrate wins from the year.
This year’s summit, held at the beautiful Balboa Park in San Diego, offered a merging of nature and curiosity reflected in the city’s embrace of scientific progress. DUG’s Director of Partnerships, Nessa Mogharreban, connected with new and existing partners like Denver-based Milgrom & Daskam to build upon existing relationships and begin new ones. During the conference, we learned about ways to make our role within the 1% community even better and how to encourage other partners (nonprofit and for-profit alike) to join the movement. From diving deeper into local partnerships to story-telling as an impact organization, DUG has plenty to add to our planning.
Denver Urban Gardens has been a 1% for the Planet Environmental Partner since 2016. We joined 1% for the Planet because we believe in the power of connection and impact.
