Become a Tree Keeper
Becoming a DUG Tree Keeper doesn’t require any previous experience with taking care of trees; you will be training in pruning, pest management, and general tree health.
To become a Tree Keeper, explore our Food Forest Directory and find which sites need Tree Keepers.
Commitment & Expectations:
- At least a two-year commitment
- 30-60 minutes of work per week, on average
- Work collaboratively with at least one other Tree Keeper at your food forest site
Support & Training:
- A bucket of materials
- Year-round DUG-led workshops and external training offered by The Giving Grove
- DUG staff volunteer support
