OVERVIEW

Every garden here started with one neighbor.
This is where the next ones begin.

DUG Online is the digital home for everyone growing across metro Denver—gardeners, Garden Leaders, Tree Keepers, and the simply plant-curious. Trade seeds, ask questions, find your plot in the conversation.

THE FEATURES

HERE’S WHAT YOU GET

Im obsessed with life! Growing things and fostering life bring me immense satisfaction. Not just plants either but insects as well!

[Gardening] offers a space to be present with all beings lovingly and compassionately. We can always grow our compassion alongside our food plants 🙂

My favorite thing about gardening would be eating food that my wife and I grew from seeds, while knowing the vegetables/fruits have zero pesticides!

ErikaMember Since 2022

Gardening is a guaranteed connection with the seasons and the best way to get genuinely delicious tomatoes for a few months.

KeelyMember Since 2021

I am new to gardening but very excited to be spending time connecting with the earth and seeing something grow from seed to harvest!

JoshuaMember Since 2025

[I love] watching the plants evolve into something beautiful that nature could only create with time and patients. Daily routine and consistency is what creates some of the greatest things!

[I enjoy] teaching my toddler the value and process of home gardening. Harvesting produce for meals. Getting my hands dirty.

QUESTIONS

BEFORE YOU JOIN

Yes. DUG Online is open to anyone—current gardeners, people on a waitlist, Garden Leaders, teachers, or just neighbors curious about growing food. No plot required.

Yes. Membership in the online community has no cost. Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) covers the annual hosting & administrative fee for DUG Online, hosted on Mighty Networks.

Not even a little. The community spans every mastery level, from first-time container growers to 20-year Garden Leaders. Beginner questions are some of the most common posts.

DUG’s network spans six counties across metro Denver, and the community reflects that. Front Range growing conditions are similar enough across the metro area that the advice travels well. And if you’re not from the area, you’re welcome too–just remember that the gardening resources shared may not be applicable to your area!

Did you know we have community members as far as New York City, and even Australia? Everyone is welcome!

Yes. There are dedicated circles for Garden Leaders and Tree Keepers to trade leadership resources, from conflict resolution to workday planning. Simply request to join, and our team will review and accept you into the private circle.

To request a circle for your community garden or food forest for your gardeners to join, email [email protected] and we’ll set you up with one so you can start inviting members on your own!

Yes! Mighty Networks has mobile apps available for both iOS and Android, allowing you to participate on the go.
