Denver Urban Gardens is incredibly grateful to receive a $20,000 grant from the Olsson Foundation – their support will ensure our work to cultivate green spaces in the Denver metro area.
Olsson, an engineering and design firm, has a long-standing history of giving back. The Olsson Foundation, a private foundation, was created to build on that tradition. Its dedication to community impact is incredible; supporting dozens of nonprofits across the country, including Habitat for Humanity in Metro Denver, Inc.
Their support of DUG with their Holiday Giving Grant of $20,000 will continue to support the work we do in building new community gardens and food forests in the Denver metro area. Our new gardens, located in marginalized communities in the city, will increase food access for Denverites by empowering them to grow their own fresh + healthy food. Additionally, we are able to serve even more of our community, expanding from our existing reach of 40,000+.
