DUG’s newest space is a revitalization of unused space for community enjoyment.
Crumley Park (renamed from the original “Cedar Park”) is DUG’s newest growing space and the ultimate design, which incorporates community garden plots, a food forest, and a sensory garden space.
Located in Denver’s Barnum neighborhood on the corner of W Cedar Ave & S Knox Ct, Crumley Park is next door to Appointed Seed Ministry. April Crumley has been central to community care in the neighborhood, ensuring children and families had space to enjoy the outdoors. In the 1990s, April and DUG took over the space and revitalized it this year with a newfound purpose of true community enjoyment.
Now the space is open to neighbors, whether to garden in a community plot, pick fruit from the food forest, or engage in sensory play in the therapeutic garden space.
