We are so excited to share that Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) was selected as a recipient of a generous grant from The Starbucks Foundation through their Neighborhoods Grants program.
DUG was selected as one of 2,800 grant recipients from over 33,000 nominations due to our work in environmental stewardship and youth empowerment. We are thrilled to use this grant support to continue cultivating food, community, and climate by expanding urban green spaces in the Denver Metro area.
Since 2019, more than 13,000 grants have been awarded to local organizations, amounting to more than $20 million. Neighborhood Grants also help build sustained local impact and inspire increased partner (employee) engagement with nonprofit organizations that work in their communities. Neighborhood Grants is part of The Starbucks Foundation’s goal to reach 25,000 local nonprofits by 2030 – an incredible goal!
