Harnessing the Sun: Food Preservation with Solar Dehydrators

As the first fruits of the season start to arrive, this workshop will instruct you on practical skills for harnessing the power of the sun for preservation. Solar dehydrators can be built efficiently from a variety of new or salvaged materials, and can be configured for a variety of spaces. The class will attempt to construct one or more dehydrators through the course of the workshop to be used by the community at the Barnum Orchard.
