Earth Month is a time to reconnect with the planet, take action in our communities, and support organizations growing a more sustainable future. This April, Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) is partnering with local businesses across the Denver metro area to bring you a series of giveback events that make it easy (and fun) to support community gardens.
From seed swaps to seasonal sips, here’s how you can get involved all month long:
🌼 Kickoff Event: Seed Swap at Woods Boss Brewing
Saturday, April 11 | 1–4 PM | Event Page Link
Start your growing season with inspiration and connection at our Seed Swap event! Join the DUG team at Woods Boss Brewing to:
- Swap seeds with fellow gardeners
- Share tips and resources for the season ahead
- Connect with a community of plant lovers
✨ Bonus: Stop by anytime in April—a portion of all proceeds from Woods Boss Brewing will support DUG programs.
🍓 Product Launch: Project Green 2026 at Breckenridge Brewery
Saturday, April 18 | 12-3pm | Littleton Location | Event Page Link
Every year, Breckenridge Brewery partners with a local organization to champion Earth Month. This year, they’re partnering with DUG. $1 from every pint/crowler sold of their Strawberry Basil Saison will go directly to DUG – it’ll be available all summer long. Cheers to that!
Breckenridge Brewing isn’t just supporting DUG—they’re investing in sustainability across their operations:
Eco-Friendly Brewing: A 289-kW solar array at their Littleton facility generates over 20% of their electricity
Waste Reduction: 99% waste diversion, with spent grain and yeast repurposed as feed for local farmers
Certified Impact: Silver Certification from the Colorado Green Business Network for achievements in water efficiency and emissions reduction
🍻 Mid-Month Meetup: Pour Wall Giveback at The Golden Mill
Monday, April 20 | 1–4 PM | Event Page Link
Head to The Golden Mill for a unique self-pour experience that gives back. During this special event, you can:
- Meet the DUG team
- Grab free seeds* for your garden
- Ask your burning gardening questions
🌱 All April long, a portion of proceeds from the self-pour wall will benefit DUG—so every sip supports local food access and green spaces.
🛍️ Shop Small for a Cause: Spring Market with Main Street Events at Denver Sports Castle
April 24–26 | Times Vary | Event Page Link
We’re excited to partner with Main Street Events for their Spring Market, a vibrant, community-driven shopping experience that brings together local makers, artists, and small businesses.
Here’s what to expect:
- 85+ hand-selected local vendors
