After years of dedicated service rooted in the soil of Denver’s neighborhoods, Taylor Kibble is moving on from DUG. Taylor has been a steady and spirited presence across our garden network, and her work as Garden Projects Manager has left a lasting imprint on the communities, gardeners, and spaces she has tended alongside us.

Taylor first came to DUG in 2022 as an AmeriCorps service member with the DUG Corps, bringing with her a wealth of experience leading youth programs and summer day camps — and an instinct for weaving environmental education into every activity and adventure. It was clear from the start that she had a gift for meeting people where they are and inspiring curiosity about the natural world. Over time, Taylor grew with DUG into the Garden Projects Manager role, where she channeled that same energy into supporting the health and vitality of our broader garden network.

Taylor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences from CU Denver, a fitting academic home for someone whose work has always lived at the intersection of place, community, and the land. Her AmeriCorps background, spanning trail building and management, home construction, and farming, gave her a hands-on, can-do spirit that translated beautifully into the varied and unpredictable rhythms of garden work. Whether troubleshooting a plot, supporting a garden leader, or getting her hands in the dirt alongside community members, Taylor showed up fully and with genuine care.

Outside of work, Taylor can most often be found tending her home garden with her faithful companion, Johnathan the cat. This detail tells you everything you need to know about her: grounded, nurturing, and a little wonderfully her own.

As Taylor steps into her next chapter, we want to express our deep gratitude for the energy, thoughtfulness, and warmth she brought to DUG every single season. The gardens she helped steward, the gardeners she supported, and the projects she shepherded forward are a living testament to her commitment to this mission. While we will miss her presence enormously, we are so excited to see where her talents and passions take root next.

We invite colleagues, garden leaders, and community members to share their memories or words of appreciation for Taylor in the comments below. Your reflections are a reminder of the impact one dedicated person can have, plot by plot, season by season.

Taylor, thank you for growing with us. The DUG community is richer for everything you’ve poured into it. We wish you all the joy and abundance your next harvest can hold.
